Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks reports a Missoula landowner shot and killed one of two wolves attacking his sheep this week on the Miller Creek drainage near the Lolo National Forest boundary. The attacked yearling lamb survived, but later had to be put down. The other wolf escaped unharmed. The Missoulian.
A hunter seated beside a moose camp bonfire with two companions along the Kuskokwim River near Kalskag, Alaska was attacked and bitten by a rabid wolf on Sept. 10.
