The past ten years or so has seen a new trend in handguns, namely sixguns with very long barrels of l0″ or more as well as specialty single-shot pistols with barrels of 14″ or more. All of the long barreled sixguns and single-shots that I have been acquainted with have been wonderfully accurate and a real pleasure to shoot. Buffalo Bill’s single action Colt heads to auction

Codygun1Christmas is coming if you want to know what I want.  William F. “Buffalo Bill” Cody’s .44-40 black powder Colt single action army revolver with factory case is expected to fetch between $50,000 and $70,000 in auction next month. Information provided by the Rock Island Auction Company in Moline, Ill. lists the condition of the classic revolver as “very good plus.”
