Squirrel won’t be fined for triggering fire alarm

ImagesBlackburn Elementary School in Ellenton, Fla. won’t receive a customary fine from the local fire department for a recent false alarm, after security camera footage revealed it wasn’t triggered by a trouble-making student, but by a bushy-tailed intruder. “It’s really hard to fine a squirrel, so he got a stern lecture and was released outside,” joked Todd Henson, director of maintenance and operations for Manatee County Schools.
