Potato gun explodes, Kentuckian injured
Apparently using an excessive amount of black powder in a homemade potato gun caused the device to rupture upon firing, sending shrapnel into a neighboring Louisville, KY home and resulting in a hospital visit for John Berthuaume II, 53. “He’s got a chunk of his arm torn up. His butt cheek, his thigh and lower calf on his right side,” Berthiaume’s brother told WLKY. Authorities said Berthiaume will be charged with wanton endangerment.
