Minnesota woman dies of tick-borne disease

Wiztick0630c_300px The State Health Department has reported that a woman in northern Minnesota has died from a virus caused by the bite of a deer tick. The woman, who was in her 60s, was the first person in Minnesota to die from the Powassan virus, though another person was reportedly infected with the virus this year, according to health officials.
