Michigan lifts deer baiting ban

Images The Michigan Natural Resources Commission voted 4-3 Thursday to lift the three-year ban on deer baiting for hunters in the Lower Peninsula for the 2011 season, allowing as much as two gallons of bait—covering up to 10 square feet—on a single spot between Oct. 1 and Jan. 1. The ban will remain in place in Alcona, Alpena, Iosco, Montmorency, Oscoda and Presque Isle counties. Detroit News.
