Fire danger leads to closure of national forest in Arizona

DownloadedFile Officials announced Monday that southern Arizona’s Coronado National Forest, which encompasses numerous mountain ranges and nearly 2 million acres, will close to all public use at noon Thursday due to unusually high fire danger. ”The closure will remain in effect until significant moisture arrives,” said forest supervisor Jim Upchurch.
