Cougar killed near Oregon elementary school

Kpic+051911+cougar+roseburg A mountain lion tracked by authorities through a Roseburg, OR neighborhood early Thrusday morning was struck by a police cruiser and later shot and killed by a USDA Wildlife Services agent. “This was just a couple blocks from Rose Elementary School, and we knew we had younger kids that would be walking to school in the morning,” said Police Sgt. Aaron Dunbar. “So, time was an issue, and we felt like we had to destroy the animal.” KCBY.
