One Day Three Mountain lion shot, killed in Large Cities

60008606 Tuesday was a banner day for cougar activity in Western U.S. cities. In addition to confrontations in El Paso, TX, and Ft. Collins, CO., police in Kearny, Nebraska killed an adult male mountain lion after reports of it running through neighborhoods and backyards. “It could have sent me into labor,” said an excited witness, Ashley Hilton, who is expecting her first child in a few weeks. Ft. Collins cougar makes tracks out of town

Bilde A large mountain lion trailed by citizens and wildlife authorities across parts of busy North Ft. Collins. Colo. Tuesday afternoon made a dash for the hinterlands as Division of Wildlife officers prepared to tranquilize it as it bedded under a utility trailer. ”He was down here and he didn’t like it one bit,”  said Shane Craig, DOW District Wildlife manager. “He definitely was not enjoying his surroundings.” Coloradoan.
