2 A new fashion fad on both sides of the Atlantic that uses feathers for woven hair extensions is impacting an unlikely industry and pastime, because the most desirable avian plumage is the same preferred by those who tie trout and salmon flies. Depending on the source, the price of saddle hackles has more than doubled in recent months, and in some cases has risen tenfold. The Independent and Financial Times.
