Images-1 A new Government Accountability Office (GAO) report indicates federal land restrictions prevent the Border Patrol from “achieving or maintaining operational control” along the US/Mexico border. Seventeen of 26 ┬áborder stations reported “delays and restrictions in patrolling and monitoring portions of federal lands because of various land management laws,” including the Wilderness Act, ESA and National Historic Preservation Act.
