Bear stranded on Oregon dam is shot

Black-bear-trapped-at-the-dalles-dam-d075a619d71b0b82 Officials with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife said there was no alternative but to shoot a black bear that somehow became stranded on the Dulles Dam, precariously perched some 75 feet about the Columbia River.¬†”There was no way to remove the bear from that location without seriously injuring it or putting people in very grave danger,” said¬†Scott Clemans, US Army Corps of Engineers spokesman. The Oregonian.
