Christie: NJ saltwater fishing ‘should remain free’

Images A bill creating a free saltwater fishing registry that is expected to eventually save anglers from having to pay a $15 fee implemented by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration was signed into law Tuesday by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie. Calling the NOAA fee “an unfunded federal mandate,” the governor said fishing from New Jersey shores “should remain free to our residents.” Press of Atlantic City.
