The Missouri Department of Conservation has confirmed a mountain lion sighting in southern Linn County based on trail camera photos taken by a landowner on Dec. 29. The sighting marks the fifth confirmed report of a mountain lion in Missouri since November and 15 confirmed reports in the past 16 years.
