After 66 years, keepsake WWII rifle recovered by family

Bilde Among the souvenirs Marine Bill Bucklin acquired during his service in the Pacific Theatre was a┬áJapanese Arisaka Type 99 rifle. Though he carved his name in the stock, the gun was lost while being transported back to his Erie, PA home after the war. An amazing stroke of luck reunited the late Mr. Bucklin’s family to the firearm last September, when it was located in a Washington, PA gun shop. The Erie Times-News.
