Deer upends young runner in NJ 5K run

Images Authorities in Upper Saddle River, NJ say a 7-year-old girl running with about 2,000 others in the borough’s annual 5K  run was knocked over by a deer, but did not sustain serious injuries. “We have a lot of deer around here,” said Barry Ervin, an organizer of the event. “There’s deer behind my house, and we see them all the time. Usually when they see us, they go the other way.” The Bergen Record.
