Collision with deer knocks runner off-stride

HortonvilleHighSchoolLogo While competing in the Wisconsin High School Division 1 cross country sectional at Wausau’s 9-Mile County Forest course, Sarah Glidden, Hortonville High School’s number-one ranked distance runner, was thrown off stride in a collision with an antlerless deer that streaked out of the woods. Bruised and shaken, the teen failed to qualify for the WIAA state meet, placing 18th overall. Appleton Post-Crescent.
