Knitting Bandits Covering Trees with Yarn

Nighttime bandits are covering trees with knitted sleeves in New Jersey. The clandestine Salty Knitters meet up late in the evening and tag tress with their wares. I expect this kind of behavior in Salt Lake where teenagers regularly meet to knit hats since they don’t drink beer, but it’s a surprise in Jersey. At least my head won’t hurt so bad if I hit one of these trees without a helmet. Via Back Country
