Provision allows firearms in Amtrak baggage
A provision attached to the final version of the “must pass” 2010 omnibus spending bill approved by House and Senate conferees will allow Amtrak passengers to carry firearms in checked baggage. “This is an important victory for sportsmen and gun owners across the country, and it affirms congressional support of the Second Amendment,” said amendment author Roger Wicker (R-MS).
