The wild deer tales continue to roll in. Here’s one from my pal Rod Kloeckner with the Belleville (Il) News-Democrat about a buck that picked a fight with a corn-picker just outside my hometown of Nashville, Il. Farmer Arnold Harre said the big 8-pointer got caught in his combine’s corn header last week, though he was able to free it after backing up. “I can’t believe it didn’t break the legs,” son Wayne Harre said. “He said he reversed the corn head, it popped out of there and just took off.”
