Girl Attacked by Dog Inside a Public Business

Personally I think it is stupid for business to allow people to bring pets to work.  It is more than ridiculous on a number of different levels.  Raeauna Esparza got a new iguana and named it Spike. She was given the pet to help her get over an attack by a pair of dogs at an east side insurance office that left here with more than a half-dozen puncture wounds.”I’m okay with puppies but not big dogs now,” said the first grader. Raeauna and her mother were at the Wilson Family Insurance office at 86211 East 10th Street to pay a car insurance premium when they say owner Pam Wilson’s two dogs, husky mixes, attacked.

“The dog that was in the backroom escaped and immediately jumped and attacked my daughter,” said Tabitha Esparza. “It started biting her on her side and leg. She started screaming and at that point when one dog attacked, the other dog started attacking on her, too, so we had two dogs fighting in the middle of an insurance company.”

The owner’s son and Raeauna’s grandmother fought the dogs off, leaving the six-year-old bloody and terrified. “It was pure screaming and hollering and it was like I didn’t know if she was going to live or die,” said Tabitha.

Raeauna was treated at the hospital and sent home to rest. Tabitha said she’s contacted an attorney and that the insurance agent’s attorney has contacted her.

Pam Wilson was not available for comment.
