The Missouri “Militia Memo”

A while back, the Missouri Info Analysis Center ( State agency) and the MO highway patrol circulated a report telling police to keep an eye on dangerous radicals. Who were these radicals the police were to watch?  People concerned about unemployment, higher taxes, gangs, border security, inflation, abortion, federal agencies, Christians, Libertarians etc, etc.  Basically anyone who had anything to say about anything was to be watched and considered a threat. The memo read like something you would see in Nazi Germany, it was so outrageous that most people did not believe it until a copy was obtained and it was made public.

Americans for Limited Government made a public records request for data relating to the preparation of the report, and information behind it, and got some interesting results.  The State Police Claim there is none. There isn’t even a record of who wrote it. What a surprise.
