Mountain lion e-mail hoax
A photograph showing a mountain lion dragging a deer that’s currently making the e-mail rounds among residents of western North Carolina originated in Texas, reports the NC Wildlife Resources Division. This marks the third time in as many years that the agency has seen such e-mail hoaxes, prompting it to again assure citizens that no wild cougars reside in the state. The Asheville Citizen-Times.
